United Way Campaign Update

October 15th Update

In the Crayon Box with...

Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority (YMHA) announced yesterday its partnership with the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley through its contribution of $25,000 to the 2010 Campaign.

Clifford Scott, Executive Director of YMHA, presents a $25,000 check to Bob Hannon, President of the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley, for the 2010 Campaign.

As of today, $860,428 or 34% of our 2010 Campaign Goal has been raised. Look for our thermometers in the community!

The Staff and the Board of Commissioners are excited to partner with the United Way to assist traditional and non-traditional organizations deliver quality services to the needy throughout YMHA's Public Housing Developments and in Mahoning County. It is our hope this contribution goes a long way in moving the mission of the two agencies forward.

About the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley

The United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley seeks to be the driving force behind sustained improvement in the lives of all our citizens through initiatives that promote education, income and health. Currently twenty seven nonprofit agencies are partners with the United Way of the Youngstown and Mahoning Valley and through that partnership; the United Way distributes funds for over seventy programs that the partnering agencies oversee. In addition to funding our agencies, we have created several initiatives that are having a positive impact on the community.
